It was kid of funny to Kyousuke, to think people would assume he could be a gangster. Sure, with his spiked, dyed hair, and his love for boxing, he had a little bit of an intimidating look, but he didn't think he was one. He learned to speak out more but that was about it. He could just imagine Ryoko laughing at the thought of his friend being viewed as a yakuza. Then again, maybe he'd look cool with a dragon tattoo somewhere on his body. Not that it would happen. He could just as easily imagine the fit his father would have if he did.
He nodded to Maemi as she was apparently the same. Except maybe for the spiked, dyed hair, but that was a good thing.
He frowned though at what she said next. "How are you an imposter? You got in, no?" It was one thing Kyousuke struggled to understand. He got that people could mock him for his upbringing, but they all knew he was here because his father could afford this school and Ouran accepted him. The most the other students could say was that he was not welcomed in their friend group, to which he was fine with. He didn't feel like he fit with those people, he sometimes felt like this school was too much for him, but he never doubted that he got his place the same way many others if not most did, by having their parents pay the heavy tuition fee.
"Well, I guess that once I'll become an intern, the fact my father and brother are both surgeons would mean I'll be the elite then. That would be the ultimate leg-up, no?" That would be weird then, to be the elite. But he heard there was a hiereachy in hospitals and no doubt his father's position put him really high up, meaning he would too. That felt daunting somehow. Kyousuke didn't know if he could live up to such expectations.
