[NOGUCHI DAISUKE]

Daisuke was glad that they had finally made it to the tropical aqua garden. They booked the rooms where they were going to spend the rest of the night and now they were out in the attraction. There weren’t too many people around here and he liked that; it meant that they would have more room to try the attractions they offered. It was bound to be a good weekend for them the girls said they would meet up with them in a few hence they needed to change and Daisuke made sure they knew how to get there before they’d leave them to prepare themselves for the rest of the day. “I’m surprised you woke up on time, Kento.” He said teasingly to his friend who seemed to be a bit sleepy. It was still in the morning and they had the rest of the day to have fun and grab a bite for lunch too. His poor friend seemed to still be tired despite having slept almost the whole ride there.

They made their way towards the beach area and got a spot with lounging chairs for them to sit. “The surfing area should be over there.” He said to Ryohei as he showed his friend the sign. It was great to see how the place kept improving over the years. There was always something new. He did not expect Kento to wrap his arms around him though, as a bit of revenge for the jab he gave him earlier. “Thank you for having us over Daisuke-Kun~.” Daisuke rolled his eyes. “Just shut it, I preferred you when you were sleeping.” He said back. “You think you’ll survive seeing Yui-chan in a swimming suit all weekend long?” He added, using a high-pitched voice that embarrassed Daisuke who was much more conservative. “Seriously, Kento!” he snapped, it was at that moment that the girls showed up, in their swimming wear, Yui, wearing a two-piece and a larger vest for when they’d be out of the water, and Makiko wearing something similar to her friend but in more vibrant colors. The girls were used to seeing Kento teasing his friends and they had to wonder of what was up to with them. They didn’t hear Kento whispering in Daisuke’s ear that he should be careful because you couldn’t hide much in swimming wear which had Daisuke lose his cool for a moment and shove his friend away and blush furiously. He didn’t have these kinds of thoughts, why did Kento have to bring perverted thoughts to him? Luckily no issues were made and he regained his composure. “Is this spot fine with you? I was telling Ryohei-san that the surfing area is there, the slides are over here and there are volleyball nets there.” He said to the girls who nodded and went to put their things down in their respective chairs.

What originally started with Daisuke having tickets for the aqua garden ended up being a slightly bigger getaway moment for the group of friends. Then again, why not? They were all working hard to finalize this year's studies, they earned a break. And the place being indoor, they could enjoy a summer-like atmosphere despite still being winter here in Japan. They didn't even need to fly on the other side of the world for a warmer temperature.

Ryohei wasn't exactly a morning person. He would wake on time, whatever time that was, but it took him a moment before people should talk to him, at least if they didn't want him to shove them away. It was still a bit too early for him but the ride took care of most of his moody morning attitude. And, unlike Kento, he didn't look like his brain has been left on his pillow to keep sleeping a little while longer.

Along with the other two guys, he walked towards the beach, leaving the girls to finish preparing themselves. He still had a shirt on but he had his swimming shorts. Since it wasn't really outside, their wouldn't be any sudden cold breeze that would have made Ryohei wished he put on pants and changed at the beach instead. Daisuke, who bothered to look at every sign and spotted the one mentioning the surfing area, indicated it to Ryohei. He nodded in acknowledgement. He didn't swim a lot, then again it was not the sea, it was technically a pool, but he would love to try surfing at some point. For now, they were getting lounging chairs for everyone, including the girls for when they would join them.

From the corner of his eyes, he noticed Kento teasing Daisuke and he smiled, amused at it. It was silly, but he was certain Daisuke could handle it. He was no helpless little creature in need of saving. The girls arrived shortly after and Ryohei wondered if they heard what Kento said. Since they didn't look embarrassed, Yui in particular, he assumed they did not. He had no idea what Kento added, but Daisuke pushed him away. Again, Ryohei did not worry. Even if they decided to fight a bit, it wouldn't bother him. It was just Daisuke establishing his boundaries with Kento.

But Daisuke was already trying to recoved from this. "Count on Dai-chan to have mapped out the layout of the place already," Kento retorted, he too having recovered from this little spat. Girls might be a little concerned but they didn't care about this.

Ryohei was definitely more into the volleyball, slides and surf than staying here under the light mimicking the sun to tan, or just calm swimming about, but he let the girls set their things down first. "I don't know if there's anything that interest you more. I guess we can also split up but it would be ncie to do a few things all together." Then again, for volleyball, unless one person was willing to judge the game, they would need to find someone else to join them...

Daisuke didn’t mind if it was only the girls that were tagging along with them. They were part of the group and besides, they were like family at this point so it would have been odd not to have them around. The only factor that bugged him at the right moment was his feelings toward Yui which didn’t change. They were having a blast and would make sure that everyone would enjoy themselves out there. He was the one who got the tickets and felt a certain responsibility in the experience everyone would get out there. The day was still young so they could try most of the facilities they could and the next will depend on how much they could have tried in the current day.

He rolled his eyes when Kento called him Dai-chan and nodded, hoping that Yui had not seen the blush on his cheeks. It was embarrassing enough as it was, why did Kento have to bring those thoughts to him? He never really thought it through until recently, the idea of seeing Yui in a swimming suit mostly because it already happened in the past on a few occasions as they went on the beach. The only difference now was that she looked more like a woman and less than a child and Daisuke wasn’t blind and noticed it so he preferred to look away and pulled out the map that they gave when they went in.

“Alright, let’s see,” he said as the girls were done putting their things away and came to join them. “Can we start with something light first?” Asked Yui, it was a bit chilly but that was mostly due to them walking in and the temperature change once they’d get adjusted to the heat here they could most likely do something involving water, such as the slides. “You’re fine with that, Ryohei?” He asked his friend, he doubted that he’d have an objection, they just had to figure out whether they wanted to do a game of volleyball first or do something lazier to get a good wake and keep up with activities that required more energy.

Ryohei was a bit surprised that Daisuke rolled his eyes, but he supposed it was at Kento's attitude more than the nickname. They had known each other for so long, basically for as long as they had been at Ouran, nicknames were bound to come up at some point. But maybe Daisuke was bothered to be the only one with 'chan' after his name instead of 'kun'. Either way, the girls arrived and the boys had to behave, if only a little more than before.

Daisuke looked very self-conscious all of a sudden. Whatver Kento said, it gnawed at his mind. Funny, since it was not the first time they would go out like this, or that he had seen Yui dressed up the way she was right now. But he must be thinking about it a lot more. Ryohei studied this but said nothing. Yui didn't seem bothered in the slightest. Either she didn't realise what was going on or she didn't care.

He approached to have a look at the map Daisuke pulled up, to further prove Kento's point. The guy really wanted to make sure there would be something for everyone. Yui asked for something light first. He assumed she meant not surfing, rafting or anything of the like. He didn't think she meant no swimming. He shrugged as Daisuke questioned him. "Sure, if you want. There seem to be a lot of calmer activities stuffed between the more active ones. We could do one of those." He couldn't say he was all up for things like the thing called 'lazy river' but if they preferred that, he would hold back, at least for now. In fact, another reason why he was not too much for that particular attraction was because he wondered how they were going about the river and, if it was a boat, if that meant they would have to divide in pairs. There was no need to them pushing Daisuke and Yui right at the start. There would be plenty of occasions for that later.

He looked at Yui, since she was the one who asked for something light. "You had something particular in mind? Or just lie here for a moment?" If that was what she wanted, he could force Kento to wake up by throwing a flying disk or something else at him. After receiving it a few times on his head, he might wake up.

Daisuke regretted Kento not getting enough sleep as he turned out to annoy the hell out of him until the girls showed up which luckily they did not take too long before doing so. They were going to enjoy themselves out there but they needed to figure out what they wanted to do first. He glanced at Kento to restrain the boy from commenting on him planning ahead of things. Was it a bad thing to do? He didn’t believe so; after all, they were all going to find something that would suit their tastes it was just the girls that he wasn’t completely sure of what they would like to do and luckily Yui was the first to speak up. He nodded, agreeing to that, after all, the day was still young so they could do plenty of things in there.

“Yes, I’d like to try this one, and then we can do volleyball to warm up, guys against girls.” She said with a wider smile knowing it would spice up Ryohei’s interest. Yui was aware that he enjoyed a bit of competition and they could later decide who would be the judge of their game. “That works for me.” Daisuke smiled and spotted where the lazy river started out. “It’s over there, I think we’ll have plenty of spaces just there.” He said to them. He was always one to plan things ahead and liked knowing where everything was when he entered a place, which made things much more organized in his opinion. Yui was happy with it too which made him warm a bit but he shoved the thoughts aside for now as he wanted to enjoy some of the time here as well.

Ryohei also loved knowing what to doa little ahead of time. It was useful, to prepare. Then again, the preparation was required before they arrived here. Now, he could leave most of that to the staff around and just have fun. Or Daisuke. Ryohei could understand why he wanted everyone to have fun, he was responsible of it being the one who invited them all, but he should go with the flow a little more as well. They didn't need to plan things as much here.

Yui said what she thought about doing first and suggested volleyball as well afterwards. "Boys against girls sound a bit of an unfair fight on one side but if you want to be defeated I'm up for it," Kento replied. Ryohei had nodded to it. The boys could stay play rock-paper-scissors or something to determine who would play against the girls. Or they could play another type of game to make pairs if the girls wanted to be with a guy instead. Ryohei was just glad Kento said nothing about the girl having an advantage agaisnt them while wearing bikinis, but he assumed it was because he was talking to their friends and not referring to some random ladies they met here and planned to play a game with.

Daisuke located the entrance to the lazy river. He said they would have space so Ryohei assumed they would be all together on a boat or something like that. Either way, he nodded to the plan. "Shall we go then?" The girls might have just arrived but they made plans and he wasn't into just lying there. Maybe much later in the day, after dinner and a drink and lots of activities throughout the day, but not at the start like this.

Things were slowly getting back to their usual paces and Daisuke liked it that way. It never was too awkward between them considering that they had known each other for ages. Yui and Makiko were mocking Kento as he said they would get defeated, saying that volleyball wasn’t about strength but strategy and they would win in the end, he was curious to see, Kento seemed to be a bit more awake too now that they were heading towards to the lazy river. It wasn’t a huge boat, but individual inflatable tubes that they could just tie up together and make look like one large inflatable. It was a lazy river after all, so they could just all get in there and let them get carried away. It could give the others an idea of what else they could do as they would get to wander a bit throughout the aqua garden.

Yui and Makiko got to their spots and Kento and Daisuke tried to keep the girls tied to theirs as they did the same. Once they were all set, they started their lazy journey. Yui said to the guys that they spotted a good restaurant in the hotel and they had a reservation for eight pm at noon so they’d have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day out there and to study a bit in the evening before they could enjoy a bit more of it.

Makiko said that she wanted to try the slides after that, she’s heard good things about them. Yui wasn’t too keen on extreme sports but she could handle it the time of a ride Makiko said she wanted to slide down at least once with Kento to hear him scream, convinced he would scream more than her, which had Yui laughed a little at the thought. Yui was probably the worse when it came to anything high.

[MURAKAMI RYOHEI]

There was some danger to go to a place like the lazy river, especially with both Kento and Ryohei. The two could be calm as well, of course, but if that river was too calm and took too long, some shenanigans were bound to happen. Ryohei would have been fine doing it later in the day, to help relax, but he woke up now, he was full of energy and wanted to use it. The moment when he was not jolly like it did in the morning passed during the ride to the aqua garden. There was a risk then for the lazy river ride to be not so lazy and quiet as it usually was. For now, the two of them seemed to behave and both be fine with not being too close of each other, to resist the temptation of splashing water or doing other things like that at each other.

They helped tie all of the tubes together so they could stick together. Kento and Ryohei, without even saying anything, accepted to not sit next to each other. Ryohei sat first so he could be in the water and help the others and Kento was ready to get in last to help push them down the river. The girls mentioned the restaurant. "Eight?" Ryohei said out loud. Well, that would leave time to think and arrange things.

The ride allowed them to see a few of the other attractions offered by the center but Ryohei couldn't help thinking it would be nicer if there were some rapids from time to time. At least they could talk as well. "I'm in too," Ryohei said about the slides. He liked those. It could take a while climbing all the way tot he top but they were fun. He was not always comfortable with heights but he loved that heart-racing feelings. He would scream too, but of joy as he'd be amused by all of this. Daisuke said nothing about the rides himself and Yui didn't sound nearly as excited to he looked at them."You can wait for us downstairs if you prefer. Or find something else nearby." Surely there was something smoother for them if Daisuke wanted to opt out as well. No doubt he wouldn't be agaisnt not going down slides if that meant staying around Yui.

[NOGUCHI DAISUKE]

Daisuke restrained himself from telling them what the attractions of the lazy river that weren’t so lazy. He helped tie the girl along with them and once they were set he took a seat in there. He agreed to the restaurant as well, it would end the day well and they were supposed to add some study time in that too, he started wondering how they would do that considering how busy their day was going to be. It was fine to take a bit of a break though, right? They had been studying their butts off and they could use some time to relax. They couldn’t just wait until they were adults to do that, he felt like they would miss out on something if they did and wanted to enjoy a bit of his youth when he could while not being stuck in a business building.

“That gives us time to plan the rest of the day.” He said content with the time the girls said. Ryohei and Kento seemed to agree to it too which meant that they could start chilling a bit and enjoy themselves while they were out there. He was happy that he had gotten a hand onto those passes and that his father was in touch with the Ootori’s.

Yui might not like the slides so much but she could handle one ride, she might just not do that as often as the rest of them could. “I can do one ride, but count me out for the rest.” She said with a small smile, Daisuke considered it all together and the suggestion that Ryohei said to them. “We can go slide once and I can show you some quieter attractions if you like.” He offered to Yui. It was strange how he could naturally talk to her at times while at others being completely over it. He smiled back at her until he felt water sinking on it when Kento pulled down one of the vines that were hanging from the rooftop. “Cool off time Dai-chan.” He said teasingly which had Daisuke grab one too but instead of aiming it at Kento as he wished it to be it landed on Makiko who screamed out of surprise.

Ryohei was telling himself it would be fine starting slow. They would have the time to do other, more active things afterwards. They all seemed to have forgotten it was a temporary break from studies. They only cared about having fun and forgetting about studies, precisely. They were all serious about it, about their future, it was why they enjoyed having a fun break for a change.

"We could also just go with the flow," Kento said, having a bit of fun with the pun there. He was always the one who preferred to go along with whatever is going on unlike Ryohei and Daisuke, who planned ahead. One could wonder how they managed to be friends when they were so different, but it was what made it work so well.

Yui was fine with one ride. They all nodded to it. If they did this and possibly a game of volleyball, they could split for a brief moment while they enjoyed the slides. Or they could do the volleyball game after once they reunited. Daisuke was already planning finding something else to do for them while the others did the slides. Makiko was apparently fine with them, and not just for one time. "We just need some meeting point afterwards," Ryohei said. He didn't have the time to say much more that Kento found things to use to target Daisuke some more. Daisuke was splashed and he tried to get even at Kento but hit Makiko instead. Kento managed to grab another rope which targeted Ryohei. Ryohei laughed at her called out Kento and splashed the water that was around instead, trying to aim at the guy. Well, that lazy river might be more interesting than he first thought it was. Might be a good thing they didn't do it at the end of the day after all...

[NOGUCHI DAISUKE]

Daisuke was the kind to plan out the day ahead, and probably more than Ryohei would but there were times like these where he would just stop doing that to enjoy the moment. Kento was quick to pull down the vines to get him soaked. He agreed to stop a bit with the planning and enjoy the day off with his friends, they were having fun there and they were only starting their day, he was certain they would all find something that would content them. He did start thinking about which rides would please Yui though, he did not want to disappoint her. “We could meet up where the lounging chairs are.” There wouldn’t be any thieves in that place, it was well guarded so he felt pretty at ease with letting his things there the time they’d be riding the slides, going down the river, or doing any other activity that the attraction offered.

He tended to be more serious than the rest of the group, but when they started pulling the vines down, he forgot about that and planning ahead and just enjoyed the moment of trying to get Kento back for nagging him constantly. He needed someone else to bully, seriously! He laughed as he heard the girls screaming from getting water thrown at them, the waves started kicking up as they advanced in the jungle area which made it harder to stick together and he tried to get Kento to have the most of the water out of them all in the group, all in a good fight.

The girls screamed a bit when they made it to the waterfall soaked them from head to toe, Yui even had trouble staying on her tube and laughed as she passed it and managed to stay on her tube in an odd position the ride was a fun way to get the day at the water park started up that was for sure, but they were bound to have a great day and time together.

[MURAKAMI RYOHEI]

None of them were really pissed. They were having fun splashing each other. None of them were begging for a truce or yelling they were not having fun. Ryohei nodded once they calmed down enough again to resume the conversation. "That's good. And we can have that volleyball match, if we don't choose to eat first." He wondered which group would be waiting at the lounging chairs first. Wouldn't it be funny if it was them waiting on Yui and Daisuke? He knew it would more likely be the other way around, but it was fun to think of it. Daisuke had once again a perfect opportunity to make his feelings for the girl known. Ryohei wondered what excuse he would use to explain why he wasted it in the end.

There was more splashing. In the end, the river may be lazy but there was nothing quiet about it. Or it was just them who couldn't help it. Ryohei was fine with both excuses. During the jungle part, Ryohei tried his best to get a hold of the girls so they would stay together all while still getting at Kento from time to time, and Daisuke too whenever he got caught in the crossfire.

Ryohei let out a scream too at the waterfall, but mostly because, busy dealing with the others, he didn't quite see it coming. Well, they were all screaming and laughing, so it wasn't like they could hold it against him. Makiko helped Yui reposition herself on her tube. The ride was nearly over though so it would time for them to separate. Well, after one slide, since Yui claimed she could handle one.

[NOGUCHI DAISUKE]

Daisuke had quite a blast in that lazy river, it proved to be just as fun as he thought it would be and he bet that even Ryohei and Kento found something they could have fun with out there. There was a time when it was harder to stay together but they managed to get it through in all good fun. The ride was over and they were all done with it so it was time to head toward the slide. Daisuke showed them the way once they put their tubes away to get a new one and since Yui was going to only one ride, they decided it was best if she went on the ride with him. He wasn’t against it since it made sense and he went past Kento’s teasing. He was aware he was given some time with Yui but he didn’t know if it was the right timing to confess anything to her. Besides, it would be an odd setting in the aqua garden so for now he was willing to just be a very good friend of hers.

They went up the stairs to get to the said slides, there were various options and Yui preferred to pick one where she could slide down with Daisuke instead of going to a solo one. She truly wasn’t into this kind of sensation and seeing how high it actually was she stayed close to the guys Daisuke tried to reassure her of the fact that anyways, they’d be down in no time. Before they went up, he asked her whether she’d prefer to be the first or in the back and she voted for the back, preferring not to see anything that would come ahead to them, and soon it was their time to slide, right after Makiko and Kento screamed as they slid down the slides. They decided on a contest on who they would hear the most. He sat down on the tube and let Yui be ready before it was their turn. Yui screamed the entire time they went down and Daisuke chuckled as he did just to challenge Kento. Yui was glad that the ride they picked wasn’t the longest and in no time they went down and Makiko and Kento waved at them. “I can’t believe Ryohei likes to do that on his own.” Said Yui as Daisuke helped her out of the tube. Yui blushed a bit and thanked him Makiko caught that and pretended that she didn’t see any of it wondering which one of the rides Ryohei picked. “I’ll definitely let you all enjoy those, I have enough of a thrill for the day.” She said to them. Daisuke walked to Yui when he finished setting their tube away. “I found some activities you might like.” He assured her that she could only trust him on that.

[MURAKAMI RYOHEI]

The ride was over. Kento asked Yui if it was light enough for her while laughing, since it was what the girls asked for at first. They coud now head for the slides. Daisuke pointed at the fastest way there, although Ryohei could point out that they could see some of them from where they stood. At least it would go faster, according to him, and that meant more rides for everyone.

Ryohei agreed to go solo, so that Makiko and Kento could see who would scream the loudest. Daisuke and Yui also went together so they could head out afterwards. There were little to no teasing over this. There was a limit how much they could bother the guy, especially in front of the girls as well. Ryohei sometimes would accompany Yui on such rides, he did like them and could look over his friend too, but for now, Daisuke was the better option. Besides, since they would be leaving together while the others stayed at the slides, it made sense. And Ryohei was already telling Makiko that the only way to really judge who was more of a screamer was to get to the biggest slide offered, something they could do later.

Makiko and Kento were really going on a screaming contest it seemed. Ryohei said goodbye to his friends and also went. He did hear Yui expressing her disbelief over him liking such thing. "Nothing beat that heart-racing feeling," he let out. He did seem to have a kick of those, every now and then. She had her fill of thrills. "Does that mean you'll do no surfing?" He didn't think it was that scary, especially not in the environment they were in, it was perfectly safe, but if she wanted easy, safe thing, maybe she would opt out this too.

Daisuke being himself already thought of a few things they could do so the group said goodbye to their friends as they picked which one they would be going down next.

[IWAMOTO YUI]

Yui couldn’t help but laugh along with Kento as he questioned her on the ride. “I’m not that bad with rides.” She assured him. She could handle some, just probably not the roller coasters, she was certain she’d get sick by the end of the ride if that was to ever happen and she didn’t particularly enjoy strong sensations either. The rides had been fun but she didn’t think she’d go through another slide, especially if there were somewhere you could go without the tubes. That definitely wasn’t for her but she was willing to let her friends enjoy themselves there. They could have fun altogether later. She could understand Ryohei for wanting this kind of sensation and she smiled at him, laughing a bit. She was just glad that they were at the end of it and she shook her head at Ryohei’s question. “I’ll be fine with surfing, don’t worry.” She assured him. Daisuke was quick to assure her of the fact she would have activities that she could enjoy as well.

He was caring, she thought it was cute and it gave her a strange feeling to be alone with him like this but she didn’t hate it either. When they settled on a place to meet up and a time she waved at them and tagged along with Daisuke as he walked her around. Daisuke warned her about areas where there might be crocodiles and snakes and it had her hold onto his arm a bit, getting them to blush but they got over it. Yui had to blame Makiko there, as she told her back at the ball that she might have feelings for the guy. It was silly, he was her friend, she tried to ignore her friend’s voice that was in the back of her mind when she listened to Daisuke. He definitely was in control of the situation here, she liked that, and she didn’t have to worry about a thing. She tended to overanalyze at times and it gave her a break, but not so much since it gave her the time to worry about what Makiko said to her. He did tell her about activities but it ended up in him giving her a tour of the place and talking about various things and forgetting to do activities. They went into the area where the wild animals were and looked at them for a bit, at a safe distance of course. Daisuke had to admit to Yui that he had no idea why they added those since it was intended to be a safe water park. They laughed together and their eyes met for a moment. Daisuke stared at her for a moment, his losing his breath. “Yui-san…” he managed to say, a bit unsure of what he should be doing there. He was panicking internally. Yui blushed and stayed there for a moment, she too was debating internally but she still held his hand for a moment until she glanced up to see the time and let go of it. “Shoot, we’re late Daisuke-kun.” She said which had him come back to reality as he was wondering what the heck just happened there. Did that mean that she liked him too? He was sure he was blushing furiously, he didn’t need his friends to see him like that but he still followed Yui back to the meeting spot, quite aware that Kento would probably not leave him alone and might pester him for details.
